Rock son was very much in evidence in each
of Tara's offspring. Being strong with the Ch
Tolivars Boo Radley Dobmann, genes also,
she went on to produce that smoothness,
soundness, and most importantly the
longevity behind those dogs!!.. Her uncanny
intelligence in my humble opinion came
from her dams side, "Abby" Glen Eagle
Abracadabra! Tara's grandsire, Abbys sire,
Ch Sherlucks JFK V Lyndobe, was a full
brother to the well know Ch Sherlucks LB

Gorrmae only keeps 4 or less Dobies, so
consequently some very good dogs and
bitches became the foundation for other
kennels.
One being Ch Jan Hars Chipperetta V Nova.
She was the great grand dam of the 2001
DPCA BOB winner Ch Nova's Zalora V
Kelview, as well as the BOW WB, at the
1999 DPCA Natls.
( she lived to 13 1/2 yrs of age, and because
Gorrmae being a novice/new breeder did not
name her when Jane MacDonald of Jan Har
purhased her, in 1989 ......so she is not
prefixed Gorrmae, but she was bred by
Gorrmae...)
Only one litter a year is born here, so we
can devote all the time to that one litter.
Each puppy is an individual and must be
treated as such, to assure that individual has
the confidence to full fill the role as
companion, protector, and soul mate......
Each puppy from every litter is treated as if
they are ALL Best In Show prospects,
whether they are to be Queen of the couch
or King of the agility/obedience ring.....They
ALL deserve the same amount of love and
care, no matter what their eventual role will
be in life....they get that at Gorrmae!!!
All our dogs used in our breeding program,
are health tested for the testable inherited
defects, diseases, and bred accordingly to
dogs/bitches that are of high quality, and
tested also.
The trio of prorities that are important for
Gorrmae dogs/bitches are temperament,
health,
than conformation. The must have breed
type, in all three aspects of the Dobe
Standard!!
If you have a dog that is beautiful, but is
unhealthy or has a bad temperament, and
can't be lived with, than all the good looks in
the world won't do that dog any good in his
lifes journey! They must be the whole
package......
and that is what Gorrmae strives for!!!....

with the acquisition of a perky little
black/rust bitch named Tara...
Originally purchased as a family
companion, she eventually took her
novice owner, Lori, on the trip of a
lifetime, into a world very new to both
of them.!
Not long after beginning this trip, Tara
became Ch Glen Eagle Wholly Tara
CD. (the CD title being put on Tara, not
because of her owners training
abilities, but because of Tara's
high intelligence!!!)
All the dogs that are born here have all
ascended from our Tara. She gave us 6
Champions, and she had a couple
offspring that obtained their obedience
titles, as well.
